About PageNews

Last updated

PageNews is a news aggregator. We gather headlines from established publishers, group the ones covering the same event, and link you to the original reporting. We do not write, rewrite or host the news itself.

What we actually do

A scheduled job polls the RSS and Atom feeds of the publishers listed on our sources page. For each item we keep the headline exactly as the publisher wrote it, along with the publication time, the summary the feed provides, and a link to the original page. Nothing is paraphrased and nothing is rehosted.

What we do not do

Why aggregate at all

A single publisher gives you one angle on an event. Reading the same story as reported by several outlets tells you more: what everyone agrees on, what only one outlet is claiming, and how the framing differs. Our aim is to make that comparison quick rather than to replace any publisher.

Independence

PageNews is an independent project with no ownership relationship to any of the publishers it links to. Inclusion of a source is not an endorsement of its reporting, and exclusion is not a judgement on it — most often it simply means the publisher offers no usable public feed.

Getting in touch

Corrections, removal requests and general questions all go through our contact page. If you have spotted a factual problem with how a story is presented here, the corrections page explains what we can and cannot fix.
